A new electric scooter has made its sudden entry into the Indian automobile industry. Hero Electric has recently launched its latest electric scooter. About Hero Electric, it is an electric vehicle subdivision of Hero MotoCorp. The electric scooter is named Hero Photon and its manufacturer claims that the electric vehicle was very successful in getting positive feedback at the time of testing. And according to the company, the scooter has come on the waiting list before its launch.

The Hero Electric Photon adopts a conventional scooter styling with a round headlamp, apron mounted indicators and a large seat.

Hero Photon is the fastest electric scooter in India. Its top speed is 54 kilometers per hour. This means that to run Hero Photon you will need a driving license.
Until now, the driving license was not required to drive any electric scooter in India, but it would be required to run Hero Photon. Not only this, like other scooters of petrol, it will also have to be registered in RTO.

Hero Electric Photon Features And Price

The Photon is powered by a waterproof 1,500 Watt brushless DC motor. The motor is operated by a 24 MHz electronic controller. The battery is a 33 AH / 48 V AGM VRLA unit that uses a patented electrolyte. The battery can be charged by a multi-stage charger with in-built memory (regulates the charge based on the battery condition) and circuit breaker (for added safety). The scooter has a claimed range of 50 km and 80 km in Power and Economy modes respectively.

Apart from this, features like front telescopic suspension, anti-theft alarm, multi intelligent charger have been given. Two-wheeler company Hero Electric has launched its new scooter 'Photon' in many major cities. The price of Hero Photon at New Delhi ex-showroom has been fixed at Rs 54,110.

The electric scooter is available in three color options - Vivid Burgundy, Vanilla White, and Velvet Black. Since banks do not finance electric scooters, Hero Electric will facilitate financing for 8 months through its dealers.

The Hero Electric Photon will be available in 5 metro cities across the country - Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, and Bangalore. Unlike other electric scooters, the Photon requires regular two-wheeler license and registration.
