Design: looks stunning and feels premium in the hands
Vivo Z1 Pro Mobile is probably the best-looking handset. Not only does the smartphone look striking, but it also has a lot of premium in hands. Vivo Z1 Pro comes in two specific Gradient Color Shades - Aurora Green (Dual-Tone Shade). Shades look attractive to the eyes and color schemes introduced by Vivo are clearly visible. The best-looking gradient pattern in the marketThe smartphone relaxes comfortably in the palm because there are no sharp edges or corners to affect the ergonomics of the handset. VibO Z1 Pro's Unibody Design combines with the Edge-to-Edge Screen Form Factor (with No Knowch) to create an intuitive design that immediately attracts attention. The phone's rear panel follows a symmetrical design, in which dual-lens camera setup, fingerprint sensor and ViVo branding are kept vertically in the center. Apart from this, the highlights design element of Vivo Z1 Pro, 16MP elevating camera module has been placed in the center of the top edge to maintain aesthetics. The upcoming OnePlus 7 Pro will follow the same pop up camera placement. We recently reviewed the Samsung M40, which features an in-display camera in the left corner of the upper edge of the phone. MicroUSB 2.0 port (one bumper), Mike, 3.5mm headphone jack and mono speaker unit are placed at the bottom. The power button is placed on the right with the hybrid SIM card tray. Volume rockers are placed on the left edge and provide good click feedback.Overall, Vivo Z1 Pro is another lucrative smartphone of the company with look and in-hand, which no one can complain about.Vivo Z1 Pro Mobile Review | #FullyLoaded |
Display: 6.5 Inch Edge-To-Edge Screen
Vivo Z1 Pro uses an LCD screen, which means that the in-screen fingerprint scanner is out of the picture. The fingerprint scanner is placed on the rear panel under the dual-lens camera setup. In comparison, Samsung M40 (Rs 19,990) plays an AMOLED display offering an in-screen fingerprint scanner, but you will find a small hole at the top left.
Full-Screen Viewing Experience
The display on Vivo Z1 Pro is 6.5 inches and comes in full HD + resolution. Without a notch the LCD screen raises the whole front. The 19.5: 9 aspect ratio gives 237 × 1080 pixels resolution which translates to 397 ppi. Video playback and gameplay are very immersive because you get uninterrupted experience. By default, the display shows a little cool color that creates a blue color but you can change the color tone within the display color temperature settings. The LCD panel is quite bright but lacks the ambience of the AMOLED panel which can be experienced on the AMOLED panel. However, Vivo Z1 Pro is still the best handset for multimedia playback due to its intuitive full screen design.
Selfie Camera Display
Let's talk about the Signature feature of the Z series, which is a 32MP sensor working on 1.0MP pixels and f / 2.0 lens in the Samsung M40 case. Before we start talking about the quality of the picture and the additional software features of front-facing shooter, let me tell you that 32MP sensor does not support autofocus and also does not have LED torch support. For handsets identified as top-notch selfie smartphones in the series, Vivo Z1 Pro was eligible for these two hardware benefits. It is being said that the camera is able to quickly lock the face while taking selfies and you can use the screen flash feature to illuminate the selfie in low light. For some users, the screen is a better choice than Flash LED flashlight which can be very hard on your eyes in low light. What do you want to do? Both features with the screen flash or LED flashlight or an option according to your needs?
Rear Camera Performance
For rear camera, Vivo Z1 Pro comes with an AI Triple Rear Camera Setup, with a 16-megapixel primary shooter with f / 1.78 aperture, 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera with f / 2.2 aperture and With 2-megapixel depth camera f / 2.4 aperture with LED flash. In addition, the company has packed a 16-megapixel selfie shooter with a f / 2.0 lens. The easy-to-use camera app offers all the essential features like Slo-motion, Time-lapse, Auto HDR, Video, Portrait, Panorama, Manual mode, and also comes with Google lens integration. Vivo also added a new night mode and Chroma Boost mode, which was recently seen in Realme 3. The rear camera is maximum in 1080p video recording and does not offer 4K video recording. Redmi Note 7 Pro at an initial price of Rs. 14,990 supports 4K video recording and it also has a 48MP rear sensor. Using rear camera AI technology on Vivo Z1 Pro, to make a crisp 12mp shot in the default mode, to combine four adjacent pixels into one. The images look crisp, vibrant and show punchy colors. The dynamic range in daylight shots is impressive, especially if you are taking shots with a wide color palette in a bright sunny day frame. When you design a human topic, Bokeh shots look pleasing, but finding the edge is very harsh. It is good to find the AI scene. The camera software is very intelligent to identify different scenes and to make the settings necessary to offer the best possible image output for a particular type of view. In addition, slo-motion and time-lapse shots look impressive and 1080p video also shows crisps. The camera provides the EIS to stabilize the video output but as the software is received, the results are not very stable.
Hardware: Qualcomm Snapdragon 712 SoC
Vivo Z1 Pro Qualcomm snapdragon 712 is supported by SoC Octa-core CPU, which we have recently tested in the Sub 10K Realme 3 smartphone. The chipset is adhered to 8GB RAM in Vivo Z1 Pro. Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon works on 712 SoC CPU where there is an octa-core processor setup in which two Kryo 360 processors (one 2.3GHz dual-core and one 1.7GHz hexacore) have been kept. Adreno takes care of the graphical requirements of 6x GPU. The system to make the best use of available hardware resources for the lag-free user experience. It maximizes hardware usage to offer better gaming performance, faster app loading, smooth animations and better memory management for a leg-free smartphone experience. In real life, this difference is rarely noticeable because the performance of Vivo Z1 Pro is largely similar to other smartphones, especially on the Samsung A40. The speed of app-loading time and UI navigation is similar to Samsung's One UI. And just to give you a clearer picture, the user interface on Vivo Z1 Pro and Samsung M40 is not as much as Xiaomi's Poko F1 and the VoVV15 Pro user interface. I should not compare Vivo Z1 Pro with these handsets (Samsung M40, Samsung A50) because they work on different chipsets but as soon as they come in the same value-bracket, the comparison Have to do.
Battery and Connectivity
Vivo Z1 Pro draws power from a 5,000 mAh battery cell which lasted for one full day on a moderate to heavy usage. It is further equipped with quick-charging that helps to refill the battery at a lightning fast speed. The 20W charging adaptor managed to refuel the 5,000 mAh battery unit from 0 % to 39% in about 30 minutes, which is sufficient. As far as connectivity is concerned, Vivo Z1 Pro all modules that include 4G with VoLTE, mobile hotspot, GPS, Bluetooth, micro USB and Wi-Fi, hybrid SIM card tray to offer support for one nano-SIM card and one microSD card or two nano SIM cards at the same time.
Decision
There is a lot to like about Z1 Pro; However, smartphones have to face tough competition from rival brands like Samsung (A50 and M40), Xiaomi (Redmi Note 7 Pro and Poco F1), Asus and Honor. Vivo Z1 Pro stands out because it offers selfie camera, attractive design, effective edge-to-edge display and long-lasting battery life. The rear camera is very capable, but fails to offer the best-in-class performance in real life compared to the rival handset. Apart from this, the company has made some remarkable changes in the software, but it does not seem as fast as the other custom skins introduced by the rival Chinese brands. As far as hardware is concerned, Vivo Z1 Pro works on Qualcomm Snapdragon 712 SoC; I believe the Samsung M40 is the biggest threat to Vivo Z1 Pro. It offers 32MP in-display selfie camera, edge-to-edge display, uniform battery life and triple-lens camera setup on the rear panel. This handset actually makes the recommendation of Vivo Z1 Pro in the 16,990 price point.
