Xiaomi Mi A2 / 6X First Review : Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 with 4 GB RAM and 64 GB internal storage

Xiaomi Mi A2 : very powerful Snapdragon 660 chipset combines with 4 GB RAM and 64 GB internal storage

Xiaomi has announced its second Android One smartphone, MI A2. The phone comes with a price tag of Rs 16,999 and it will be especially available from Amazon.

First Generation MI A1 was extremely popular with its Low Price Tag and Stock Android experience in India. Now, Mi A2 has to prove its value in the Indian market. Xiaomi has improved design, added big performance, fueled it with a better processor and ended it with Google's Stock Android. But, will it be enough at this time when the competition is really tough? let's take a closer look.

About Xiaomi Mi A2

About this device you will know for the first time that this is a sleek design that the phone comes with a metal unibody and you get gentle curves all around the edges, which makes it easy to catch. The front comes with a long display and thankfully the company has not added a notch in this, which is not as useful anyway.
Mi A2 is 158.7 wide, 75.4 long and just 7.3mm thin. The phone weighs only 166 grams, making it one of the lightest phones available at this price point. Overall, we were impressed with the Mi A2 design because it does not look very thick. Another area where the phone works very well is the display. You get a minor update with the very powerful Snapdragon 660 chipset from Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 in MI A1. It combines with 4 GB RAM and 64 GB internal storage to ensure that you have a smooth display throughout the day. The phone was able to handle most of your throwing tasks. Whether it is moving between different Chrome pages, while many apps are opened in the background or scrolling between different apps, then the phone does not show any indication of interval of our trial period.

On the gaming front, MIA 2 was able to handle casual games effectively and was able to judge for some extent high-end graphics games. We played Pub Mobile on this phone and the game automatically selected Medium Graphics for this phone. During the gameplay, we looked at the interval, which was strange. Apart from this, there was a slightly over heating problem that could be avoided.
The highlight of MI A2 is probably the Android One branding. This means that this phone will give you pure Android experience and promise faster updates that come directly from Google. The user interface is virtual bluetooth-free, which is a major complaint of mobile users with Xiamys' in-house MIUI custom UI. You get some basic Google Apps, as well as Google Apps to a small extent. Navigation is very simple: swipe to reveal the app drawer, swipe to open the left and right notification panel to scroll between different Home screens. One thing we like about the stock Android experience is the light weight of the interface. It takes very little memory, which results in smooth performance.

The Camera

We liked the fact that the quick toggle and notification panel shades colors based on the color of the shadow wallpaper. If it is light when it becomes white and if it is dark, then it will turn it into black. He said, this phone is seriously for those who are looking for stock Android experience.
Coming to the camera's display, Xiamy's latest Android One smartphone works well. Compared to the previous year's 12 MP + 12MP setup in MI A1, the company has upgraded its camera to Mi-A2 in 12 MP + 20 MP. When starting with the camera UI, it comes with a very simple interface where you can swipe left or right to change different modes. Toggle to Flash, HDR, Filter and Settings menu.

While coming to the camera's display, the photos were well-received in very well-published situations and were very close to the color source. The description was good. We found that the photos taken with HDR mode were better than normal. The selfie camera does a decent job as well as in self-taking and there is a flash for those low-light shots.

Did not we like about the Xiamen Mi A2!

Coming to the device's opposition, the performance is not as effective as we have seen in another phone. Colors are somewhat cooler than our choices and we felt that outdoor visibility is great. Apart from this, the screen is slightly reflected, which makes it hard to see the screen when it's outdoor. You get better performance with Asus Genfon Max Pro M1 because it is more brighter and provides better color output than it.

Another area where MI A2 bags is the battery department. 3000 mAh battery gives average output. If you are using for a common purpose like streaming some music, playing casual games for a while, browsing the Internet, leaving the battery at the end of the day. And when it comes to the use of electricity, which involves playing high-end games like Pub Mobile, seeing the movies back on Netflix, the battery of the phone goes from 7 to 8 hours. Thankfully, the company has added Quick Charge 4.0 Fast Charging, which keeps the battery up to 2 hours. For less light display, we found that the camera was not that consistent. In one photograph, the phone was able to take well controlled shot, while on the other hand, it was not able to handle the brightness effectively. We also noticed that the phone took some remarkable time to focus on the phone when the light was dim.

Xiaomi has missed two important points in the Mi A2: Including Expandable Storage and 3.5mm Audio Jack. With the increasing consumption of video content and patchy internet connection, people download videos and watch later. The company has taken a standard facility which is available in various price segments. The boycott of the 3.5 mm audio jack is that whenever you do not have a Bluetooth headset, you have another support to go to you. But do you get out of the bluetooth headset juice or do you lose the connector? You know what we mean, right?

Decision

Mi A2 is definitely a real upgrade to its first Android One smartphone, Mi A1. This phone comes with some attractive looking premium designs and performance is easy in different departments. The camera works well in the case of good light, although it is not compatible in low light. Battery is an issue and very bright can cause problems for some people. However, if you are ready to ignore the opposition, then you are getting a pure stock Android experience with this.
