Moto G6 First Review :  Performance, Software and Battery Life moto g6 camera

After a long silence, Motorola has started its innings in India in 2018. For this, the company launched Moto G6 and Moto G6 Play. Lenovo's company has made a big difference in the design of its budget G series. Both the smartphones come with 18: 9 aspect ratios, with a long display, which is common in today's date.

We have got Moto G6 for review which is a dual-rear camera setup phone. The price starts from Rs 13,999 with a variant of 3 GB RAM and 32 GB storage. Remember that the G series has been greatly appreciated by the customers and critics. Moto G6 has been launched at a time when there is tremendous competition in the price segment of Rs. 20,000.

This segment has handsets like Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 and Redmi Note 5 Pro, which we liked very much. Let's try to know how much Moto G6 offers a strong challenge compared to them.

Moto G6 specifications and displays

Moto g6 has a Snapdragon 450 processor has been used in this affordable smartphone of Motorola, which is the Qualcomm's latest budget smartphone processor. This processor is quite a part of the cheap Xiaomi Redmi 5 (review) and Honor 7C (review). There are two variants of the moto g6 - one has 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB storage, which costs 13,999 rupees. At the same time, the variants with 4 GB RAM and 64 GB storage will be available for Rs 15,999. Both variants will be able to use microSD card upto 128 GB.

The moto g6 has a 3,000 mAh battery that supports quick charging. The connectivity features include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 B / G / N, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS / A-GPS, USB Type-C and 3.5mm headphone jack. There is space for two nano sims and only one sim at a time will run in 4G speed. Many of the price ranges come with the smartphone hybrid slot. But Moto G6 has different slots for two Nano SIMs and MicroSD cards.

With moto g6 and Moto G6 Play, Motorola finally took the role of 18: 9 display. The display can not be called borderless, but the presence of fingerprint sensor in the front works to hide this shortage.

The moto g6 has a 5.7-inch full-HD + IPS panel with 18: 9 aspect ratios. Viewing angles are great. Colors are accurate. But Sunlight Liability is average. The same brightness level will be said. Get the Always On Display feature in the Moto software. With this help users will be able to reply directly to the message from the lock screen. Also there is also the Blue Light filter.

In our experience, Motorola's app on their 18: 9 display goes fine. But the app in which there is no support for this aspect ratio, they had to stretch us.

Moto G6 Performance, Software and Battery Life

Our experience is getting mixed with Snapdragon 450 processors. But in moto g6 this is the best used on this hardware. Some credit will also go to Motorola's clean and smoother software package. moto g6 handles no hassle deli task. But the phone sometimes lags too. And also becomes slightly hot during the intensive workload. On the other hand, it does not slow down too much anytime.

moto g6  handles the G6 games firmly due to the Adreno 506 GPU. We realized some lag in loading a game with heavy graphics like Asphalt 8, but the gameplay was quite smoother.
Like most of today's smartphones, the moto g6 has built in face recognition. But it is slow and inaccessible. During the review, moto g6 did not recognize our face many times, even if there was enough light.

You'll find a nearly stock version of Android 8.0 Oreo, which is fast and smooth. moto g6 are some features of the work given by Motorola, but still the experience of stock Android remains. However, pre-installed apps like Facebook Lite, PhonePe, LinkedIn and Outlook do a bit worse for the experience. By the way, they can be deleted.

In our HD Video Loop Test the moto g6 battery lasted 8 hours and 40 minutes which would be considered bad. However, performance is very good in common use. The phone has been handy with ease throughout the day. Talking about the usage, we launched Google Maps for two hours during this time. Social media app like Twitter, WhatsApp and Facebook too. Game like Asphalt 8 and Subway Surfers. And also captured Selfie and some pictures.

Motorola has a 15-watt turbo charger with the phone, which makes the phone fullcharged in about 1.5 hours. But during the charging the smartphone becomes quite hot.

Moto G6 camera

The moto g6 has two cameras on the back part. A primary sensor of 12 megapixels has been provided with secondary sensor of 5 megapixels.moto g6 has a 16-megapixel sensor on the front panel. Dual LED flash on the rear side and single LED flash on the front panel.

In the Camera app, you will find many features, such as text scanner mode which converts the text written on the image into text and the Spot Color mode. The phone has a pro mode so that you can manage White Balance, ISO, Exposure, shutter speed and aperture.
The performance of the front and rear camera is extremely average. The pictures taken from the rear camera at night are dark and dark. Noyez is also very much. The camera makes photos sharper sharply in the knife-to-dope.
Colors are accurate in pictures taken in suitable lighting. But it does not matter as per our expectations. The dynamic range also disappoints slightly. In portrait mode, you will be able to capture the Bokeh shots which come with the average quality and the edge detection is very bad. Blur effect is also not very accurate.

moto g6  is a similarity to selfie. In front of the light, the front light gives fine performance, but weakens in low light. In the direct sunlight of the camera, the camera exposes the shot several times. Front LED Flash can be of little help. You will be able to record 1080 pixels of video from front and rear camera. Motorola's electronic image stabilization works well to keep the video stable. But there is lack of detail in this also.

Conclusion

Moto G6 is superb in appearance. It is compact and it is convenient to use it with one hand. Battery life is also complimentary. The performance is fine and the colors are accurate on the display, but it is not easy to use in Bright Sunlight. The cameras are of very high quality and face recognition is extremely slow and inaccessible.

The price of the moto g6 is very close to Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro and Asus ZenFone Max Pro M1 which comes with more powerful processor and better camera. The cheapest Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 (review) hardware specifications are quite similar to the moto g6. This is also a good option, especially in the case of Value for Money.

Interested customers can also think about the recently launched Realme 2 (review) which is more powerful. But there is no fingerprint sensor and its cameras are also average.
